Melvin Stewart is a fast-rising Chicago comedian known for his filterless storytelling and crowd-moving energy. He’s the host and producer of Big Black Comedy at The Den Theatre, a monthly showcase that has quickly become one of the most popular shows in the city.

Melvin has performed across the Midwest and beyond, including multiple appearances on Don’t Tell Comedy showcases in Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, and Kansas City. He’s also worked alongside nationally touring headliners like Paris Sashay, Tahir Moore, Jeanie Doogan, and Elijah Nevels.

In April 2025, Melvin released his debut half-hour special, Ain’t Nothing Special About It, on YouTube, which led to a tour throughout the Midwest. Most notably with headlining dates in St. Louis, Chicago, and Milwaukee.
